eLearning and Music-Education

The following semester-pages have been restored and adapted to Win10 now:
They include educational eLearning-modules created by students of music-education at the University of Giessen (JLU) and can be used for the daily work in schools in the learning-at-stations concept (circular training). An introduction to this didactic concept you can find here: http://www.ulme-mini-verlag.de/erfazirk.pdf (German) and the advices for the circular training on elementary music teaching are given here: http://www.ulme-mini-verlag.de/elementarlehre.htm . All modules refer to the classical Western music background.

EthnoMusicScape: China

The recent EthnoMusicScape version includes a page titled with "China"; a subtitle is "Chinese Musical Instruments" and leads to this page: http://www.ethnomusicscape.de/china_instrumente/chinamusins.htm . The presentations of Chinese traditional musical instruments are exerpts of a TV-production in Taiwan in the 90ies, which were handed over to me by a Chinese friend living in Germany and I made small video-sequences for each instrument and used the didacticized page with learning objective controls, info-texts and video- and audio-examples for seminars at the university. According to the permanent changes of hard- and software plus operating systems I had to adapt the formats and the codecs from time to time. After testing today, the examples should be available for most of the common browsers and can be used for educational purposes. The mindmap for China is by far not complete and the parts presented refer to my own experiences in China or in Chinese communities abroad.

Update for the web-mindmap on Sri Lankan music culture

http://www.ethnomusicscape.de/srilanka/page3.htm has been updated with some actual links, concerning the new publication "Sacred Sound - Sakraler Klang" by Martina Claus-Bachmann and also other new links. The change and upload of file-formats, required by win 10, takes a lot of time and energy and can be done step by step only.

Restored: Drum and Dance Patterns from West Africa

http://www.ethnomusicscape.de/gambia.html - Since long time I planned to restore the webpages about African music with excerpts of my own field-impressions in The Gambia. The results are small didacticized webpages which can be used in learning-arrangements for students. Some pages extend the information to African cultures beyond West-Africa and reach to contemporary developments.
